Chapter 380/381 Economic Development Agreements / Forney Economic Development Corporation

Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government Code allows Forney to offer a range of incentives for economic development, including the ability to rebate some of the city's portion of the 1.0% sales and use tax collected from business entities located in the jurisdiction.

"380" Agreement

Provides for a percentage reimbursement of City of Forney sales and/or property taxes. It is applied for and approved by the Forney City Council.

"381" Agreement

Provides for a percentage reimbursement of Kaufman County sales and/or property taxes. It is applied for and approved by the Kaufman County Commissioners Court.
