FORNEY - The Forney City Council approved a Chapter 380 Economic Development agreement with Costco Wholesale Corp.
Forney Mayor Jason Roberson told inForney.com that this development, along with others, is strategically placed and keeps sales tax revenue local.
"I'm grateful for current and past members of the City Council, Economic Development Corp., and Planning and Zoning boards," said Mayor Roberson. "These developments are strategically placed to help redistribute the traffic patterns and keep sales tax revenue local, where it's needed most."
Mayor Roberson shared with inForney.com that Costco will be located across the bridge at Hwy 80 and FM 460.
The news of Costco adds to the previous positive economic development news out of Forney, including H.E.B., Kohls, and Target.
