Forney City council approves Slicks Entertainment incentive to bring bowling, entertainment, restaurant to Trailhouse Park

FORNEY, Texas — The Forney City Council has approved a $350,000 performance incentive agreement for Slicks Entertainment — a bowling, entertainment, and restaurant development in Trailhouse Park.

The Trailhouse Park development features apartments, townhomes, medical offices, a hotel, and several retail and restaurant pads north of U.S. Highway 80 and northwest of Kohls.

The 30,000-square-foot Slicks Entertainment development proposes a 16-lane bowling alley, an upscale-restaurant, bar, games, and four pickleball courts — and is represented on the proposed sitemap as the entertainment aspect in the heart of the development.

The Forney Economic Development Corporation approved Slicks Entertainment incentive during their January meeting. The Forney City Council approved the agreement during their February 6, 2024, meeting.

According to the Trailhouse Park developer, a mile-long hike and bike trail will be integrated into the master-planned development posed as a live-work-play concept. Additional proposed amenities include a park for outdoor events.
