The Forney Messenger is Forney Economic Development's Business of the Month for November 2025.
The Forney Messenger will be celebrating 130 years in Forney next year. It has produced a printed newspaper each week since it began reporting the news in Forney in 1896 and sometimes publishes more often. It currently has 16 content contributors and five photographers along with its office staff.
The Forney Messenger has a print circulation of 1,900 and also produces an online version for subscribers. Its office is at 201 W. Broad Street.
