Forney Economic Development Corporation’s Business of the Month in August 2025 is Brunch Room Bistro. This bistro has operated at 123 E. U.S. Highway 80 since February 2024.
Prior to that, owner and executive chef Kristel Clouse had the French Quarter Bistro at a nearby location for several years, but she has since adapted the menu to the brunch theme.
Some of the most popular menu items, Clouse said, are: oxtail with mac and cheese and greens; catfish with grits and eggs; and “Wings and More,” which include waffles, pancakes or French toast. Gumbo is still on the menu, which now also includes seafood gumbo.
