BJ's Wholesale Club Opening

BJ’s Wholesale Club had a big opening weekend in its new location at 11150 E. U.S. Highway 80. BJ’s joins The Home Depot and H-E-B as anchors in the new Village at Gateway shopping district.
This is the first Texas club to open for this retail chain based in Massachusetts.
BJ’s sold its gas at less than $2 per gallon on Wednesday, April 22, for new and existing members. H-E-B, its new neighbor, responded by also selling its gas for a matching price. However, BJ’s was able to keep the sale going longer, as H-E-B was forced to end its sale when customer lines disrupted traffic.
BJ’s held a ribbon-cutting with Forney city officials on Thursday and officially opened for its regular hours on Friday, April 24.
Stores such as Target and Burlington will open in the Village at Gateway later in 2026, and EVO Entertainment will open an 82,000-square-foot venue soon on the same side of Cypress Hollow Drive as BJ's.
