What They Do
Licensed in 18 states, their structural team designs foundations, framing and shear walls for single family, multi-family and commercial buildings. The civil department conducts surveys, designs developments and creates land plats and drainage plans. ELD also has an architectural department that designs new construction, renovations and remodels for clients, using cutting edge technology and software that allows the team to walk a client through a building that’s still in the design phase, saving time and money.

ELD needed a larger facility for its staff of 113 so they chose a 14,500 sf building in downtown Forney. The Forney EDC helped them with signage, sidewalks and landscaping and even sent business their way. With Forney being a part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, ELD says it’s easy for them to keep their engineering department staffed with skilled employees. ELD enjoys having a community identify within downtown Forney along with community involvement. Their employees support local restaurants and shops and have formed great relationships with many in the community. They have provided engineering and design services on city projects as well as “downtown visioning” for the EDC.
