Forney maintains a competitive tax rate compared to communities within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.  The State of Texas maintains a business friendly environment with no state or local income tax.  Further, the State of Texas is a right-to-work state.  The Forney EDC works with other taxing entities in negotiating financial incentives, including tax abatements and value limitations.  The City of Forney, Kaufman County and Forney ISD all maintain freeport status, making Forney a "Triple Freeport" community for goods in-transit leaving the State of Texas within 175 days.  For more information on incentives, click here.  Additional information on state taxes and filing information can be found on the Texas Comptroller's website.
