Retail Demand

According to the Dallas Business Journal, Forney is the fourth fastest growing community in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.  Our retail trade area consists of over 65,000 people.  This number is expected to be over 86,000 by 2023.  To read more about our trade area demographics, please follow this link.  With a median household income of approximately $85,000 and rapid housing development, Forney provides both large and small retailers with a built-in customer base ready for new shopping and dining options.

Forney’s trade area provides a demand of nearly $370,000,000 in retailer goods.  However, approximately $210,000,000 leaks out of our trade area every year.  As our population increases, this pent-up demand and buying power will only continue to grow.  For more information on Forney’s retail leakage, please see our latest report here.
