Local SBDC Provides 2019 Small Business Numbers

Small business owners and companies they operate, are the backbone of our local economy. The Trinity Valley Community College Small Business Development Center and the Forney EDC have a great relationship, that helps would-be entrepreneurs begin the process of starting their own business. In the fiscal year ending on September 30, 2019, the SBDC engaged 52 clients for 299.25 hours of preparation and contact, leading to four business starts. In addition, five new jobs were created and 56 were retained. While these numbers may not seem to push the needle, any job a small business owner is able to create or more importantly retain is great!
