Forney’s location along U.S. Highway 80 and 4 miles north of Interstate 20 provides coast-to-coast access for logistics companies.  Further, within 10 miles of Forney lies Interstate 30, Interstate 635 (loop around Dallas) and U.S. Highway 175.  Other nearby roads include Interstate 35, Interstate 45, U.S. Highway 75 and the President George Bush Turnpike.  Also, Forney's offering of Triple Freeport for goods-in-transit provides significant cost savings to distributors seeking a business friendly environment.  More information on Triple Freeport and other incentives can be found here.

Forney is home to Steve Silver Furniture Company.  This business, which started in Forney out of the back of a truck, now employees over 200 people and delivers furniture worldwide.  The close access to the various highways and interstates allows them to quickly deliver product to their customers.

The Union Pacific Railroad runs through the heart of Forney with an intermodal facility in Mesquite (15 miles west) and an intermodal hub south of Dallas (22 miles southwest).  Rail-served sites are available in Forney.  Nearby airports include Mesquite Metro Municipal Airport (9 miles west), Terrell Municipal Airport (14 miles east) and Rockwall Municipal Airport (15 miles north).  Commercial airports include Dallas Love Field (27 miles west) and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (42 miles west).  Dallas Love Field is the home of Southwest Airlines, while Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is the home of American Airlines and is one of the busiest airports in the world.
