Employer Information

The Forney Economic Development Corporation not only serves new employers but also existing employers.  Our office provides business retention visits annually and maintains regular contact with major employers in Forney.  Despite Forney’s growth, our office seeks to harvest an accessible and personable environment for business. We also offer meetings, seminars and training sessions to small businesses throughout the community.  We partner with the Trinity Valley Small Business Development Center (SBDC), who provides entrepreneurs, start-ups and existing small businesses with free and confidential counseling to help their business grow.

Companies seeking employees are encouraged to contact Workforce Solutions of North Central Texas (a division of the Texas Workforce Commission).  They have an office in the nearby city of Terrell and work with job applicants and employers to provide free placement services.  They can be reached via phone at (972) 563-7271.  Further, they can assist with workforce training programs for business expansion, such as the Texas Skills Development Fund and Skills for Small Business.  Additional partners our office works closely with includes STAR Transit (area public/workforce transit service), utility providers and state agencies.

If your business is looking for a site, planning to expand, would like to schedule an on-site meeting or needs assistance with City services, please contact the Forney EDC office at (972) 564-5808.  We would be more than happy to help you and your business.
