KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — For the past several years, Kaufman County has had one of the top spots in the State of Texas for growth.
U.S. Census Bureau population estimates released this morning now ranks Kaufman County as the 3rd in the nation for the greatest percentage growth between 2017 and 2018. The data compiled includes counties with greater than or equal to 20,000 people in the 2017 and 2018.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau estimates, Kaufman County had 103,363 people in 2010, the estimate's base. In 2017, Kaufman County was estimated to have 122,845 people and, in 2018, was estimated to have 128,622 people, a 4.7-percent growth.
