FORNEY, TX – The Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) announced the recipients of its Annual Economic Excellence Recognition program for 2019. The awards were presented at a breakfast held Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the TEDC Winter Conference in College Station, TX.
The Economic Excellence program provides recognition to economic development organizations that meet a desired threshold of professionalism and accomplishment. Certifications, professional memberships, staff training and organizational effectiveness all contribute to the standards of this award. Forney EDC was one of 52 organizations throughout the state to receive this award.
“Our residential growth has been accompanied by strong interest in commercial and industrial development. I’m proud of our efforts in attracting new business and helping existing businesses expand as Forney becomes a major suburb in the Dallas area. I’m grateful to the Texas Economic Development Council for their support and recognition of our efforts,” said Warren Ketteman, Executive Director of the Forney EDC.
The Texas Economic Development Council, established in 1961, is an Austin-based, statewide, non-profit professional association, dedicated to the development of economic and employment opportunities in Texas.
