Forney has a tradition of giving, which is evident at the annual Christmas Festival in Historic Downtown Forney. Beginning with a parade, live choirs, merchants, and merriment fill Main Street. Many service organizations bring opportunity to share with others during this special time of year, friends and family gather for cocoa and treats, and little ones tell Ole' Saint Nick their dreams for Christmas Day. Don't miss it!
Homecoming is an exciting time in Forney, given the long-time tradition of enjoying High School football! The florists are busy making mums, the town is decorated, and organizations of all kinds participate in making floats. City Bank Stadium is the sight for the big game and half-time excitement of crowning the homecoming court! Bois d' Arc, Main Street, and Center Street host the parade route the morning after the big game, and people line the streets to watch the floats, classic cars, marching band, and firetrucks go by. Music and candy fill the air at this long-celebrated tradition.
