Business Climate

Forney provides a business-friendly environment that embraces high quality development and enhances our quality of life.  Our location 21 miles east of Dallas provides a lower cost of doing business than other areas in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.  Forney’s location in a deregulated electric zone provides for very competitive utility rates.  More information can be found on utilities here.

The State of Texas is consistently ranked as one of the top places for business due to our light regulatory structure, Right to Work laws and no state income tax.  Forney partners with Kaufman County in offering “Double Freeport” exemptions to businesses with “in-transit” goods.  More information on this and other incentive programs can be found here.
